Halloween Favorites & Spooky Season Recommendations

Happy All Hallows’ Eve (almost), Reader!

In the spirit of the first holiday of the best time of the year, I thought I would share all my spooky favorites with you.

Let’s do this thing.

Halloween Candy Tier List (potentially controversial)

Reese’s are overrated and I’m not afraid to say it.

Seasonally Appropriate Books

  1. Cackle

Reason: Witchy horror

Kinda spooky, kinda girl power. Woman befriends a witch.

  1. Listen For The Lie

Reason: Thriller

I talk more about this book here,  but it’s an entertaining thriller. Fully recommend the audiobook as the experience is great.

  1. Tender Is the Flesh

Reason: Horror

An unsettling story set in a society that eats people.

  1. The Silent Patient

Reason: Thriller

A thriller that did, in fact, thrill me. I don’t want to say more because everything I remember will give it away.

  1. None of This Is True

Reason: Thriller

Every time I thought I had this book figured out, the author threw in another twist.

Kinda Sexy Spooky Songs

A Creepy Show for Creepy Vibes

The Witcher

Dark and fantastical. Funny characters, creepy monsters, powerful women. It’s great.

I would recommend the book series, too, but I haven’t read it yet. I am literally staring at the first book on my bookshelf as I type, though, so maybe I will start it tomorrow.

🎃

Well, Reader, that’s all I’ve got for you this week. My duty as a full-time “personal assistant” is eating up a lot of my free time, but I’m figuring it out. Slowly but surely, progress is being made.

If anyone is wondering, I did finish cleaning up my office space and now it is a proper studio. It’s delightful and I love it. I can’t wait to have time to paint again.

I have also been loving the Switch. Animal Crossings is an excellent game to kill time. I just figured out how to go swimming, so I have a whole catalog of sea creatures to catch.

Happy Spooky Season!
